What is a gasing and its definitions

Gasing is defined as the Malay spinning top and the game of top spinning. Gasing was a popular game which was played in the kampongs( which mean village in Malay of Singapore) in Malaysia and Singapore . Gasing is still played in Malaysia today but it is diminishing as people are more interested in playing computer games.
 Gasings are for children as they are typically heart-shaped and small, most of the time not larger than 10 cm in diameter. Gasings also came in other shapes such as berembang, saucer-shaped, egg-shaped and flat-top.
